At EliteMacTechs, we specialize in mac screen replacement. We have been repairing Unibody MacBook Pro’s since they first came out in 2006. We are able to disassemble the computer and offer component level screen repair. This means you save money and time by going through us instead of the Apple store! We only replace the component that is damaged, so if your glass is cracked but your LCD is not, replacing just the glass is all that is necessary.
Mail-in and Local Service: We offer MacBook Pro Screen replacement Nationwide through our Mail-in service. To mail your computer in for repair, add the correct service to your cart and start the checkout process to see all your shipping options. Feel free to contact us with any questions.
Glass Vs LCD Vs Both
If you have one of the models below, your computer has a glass panel that goes over the top of the LCD. We offer 3 services for each model. One is to replace just the glass, another to replace just the LCD, and a third to replace both the glass and the LCD. The first step is to figure out if you have just cracked glass, or just a cracked LCD, or if both your glass and LCD are damaged.
Glass: If it look like your computer has a cracked windshield (the image isn’t distorted, but there is a crack over the top), you have a damaged glass panel that needs replacement. Another way to verify that your glass is bad is to turn the computer off. If you can still easily see the cracks in the screen with the computer off you have cracked glass.
LCD: If the image is distorted (lines, splotches of black, etc), but the damage is not visible when you turn the computer off, you have a damaged LCD panel.
Both: If the image is distorted, and the glass is cracked, you need a Glass + LCD replacement.
